Voice of the Customer (VoC)
Voice of the customer (VoC) is the structured practice of collecting, organizing, and acting on what customers say about their needs, expectations, and experience.
VoC pulls together feedback from many channels — support tickets, surveys, reviews, interviews, sales calls, and in-app requests — and turns it into a clear picture of what customers actually want. The point is not just to listen but to systematize listening, so customer input reliably reaches the people making product and business decisions instead of getting lost in inboxes.
It matters because the customer's perspective is the best guard against building in a vacuum. A strong VoC program surfaces unmet needs early, explains why customers churn or stay, and gives prioritization a basis in real demand. Without it, teams substitute their own assumptions for the customer's reality.
The hard part is consolidating scattered feedback into something usable. Feedjolt acts as a VoC hub: requests and comments from different sources are gathered and grouped, so recurring themes stand out and the customer's voice carries real weight in the roadmap.
