User Persona
A user persona is a semi-fictional profile, built from research, that represents a distinct segment of your real users and their goals, behaviors, and frustrations.
A persona bundles patterns you observe across many people into a single, memorable character: a name, a role, what they're trying to accomplish, the obstacles in their way, and the context in which they use your product. It is grounded in evidence from interviews, support tickets, surveys, and usage data, not in guesswork, which keeps it from becoming a caricature.
Personas give product, design, and support teams a shared shorthand for who they're building for. Instead of arguing about a vague 'the user', everyone can ask whether a feature actually helps a specific persona reach their goal. That focus sharpens prioritization and stops teams from trying to please everyone at once.
Personas come alive when they're tied to real signals. As feedback arrives, you can map each request to the persona it affects, see which segments are loudest, and decide whose problems to solve next. In Feedjolt, tagging incoming feedback by segment makes it easy to keep personas honest and up to date.
