Canny Alternatives: An Honest Pricing Comparison (2026)
We compare Canny, Featurebase and Feedjolt on real pricing, not marketing pages: tracked users vs seats vs flat rate, and where the free tiers end.
Canny Alternatives: An Honest Pricing Comparison (2026)
Most "Canny alternatives" pages are written by the alternative, so here are the rules this page follows. Every competitor price below is quoted from the vendor's own pricing page as it stood on 26 October 2026. We say what Feedjolt costs, including the fact that it has no free plan. And we don't claim that AI feedback capture or dedupe is a differentiator, because by 2026 it isn't: Canny includes automatic capture and dedupe on every plan, free ones included.
Canny: good software, metered pricing
Canny's free plan covers 25 tracked users with unlimited feedback, and its Autopilot feature, which captures, deduplicates and triages feedback, is included at no charge. It is a genuinely useful free tier. The cost curve starts at the Pro plan, from $79 per month billed yearly, and it is priced by tracked users: the number of distinct people whose feedback you track. Two things are worth knowing before you commit. First, Canny's own pricing page notes that if you haven't set a monthly spend limit, it will automatically upgrade you to the next tier once you exceed your limit. Second, the reporting that ties feedback to revenue sits behind the paid tiers. If your tracked-user count is predictable and small, Canny's free plan may be all you need; if it grows, get a quote before you compare anyone.
Featurebase: per-seat pricing with a per-resolution fee
Featurebase sells a support-and-feedback suite with a free single-seat plan. Paid plans run $29, $59 and $99 per seat per month, billed yearly, and every paid tier adds $0.49 per AI resolution. At a four-person team that is a predictable line item; at twenty seats it compounds. Featurebase also runs a startup program offering 86% off plus a year of its AI agent free, which makes it the cheapest serious option for qualifying early-stage companies; we would rather tell you that than pretend it doesn't exist. Its feedback tools connect to customer data for AI prioritization, and it reaches Linear through API, MCP and webhooks from the Growth plan up.
Feedjolt: flat rate, no seat math
Feedjolt charges one flat price per workspace: $9/month on Startup (monthly billing only, by application), $15/month on Growth billed annually, and $39/month on Scale billed annually, with annual billing saving 20%. Every plan includes unlimited contributors and unlimited end users, so the bill does not change when a launch brings in three hundred new voters. The trade-off is stated rather than buried: there is no free plan. What you get at every tier is feedback intake from Slack, email, a widget, a public portal, the API, webhooks and MCP; semantic dedupe with auto-merge that is off by default and can always be split back apart. Votes are weighted: every vote counts once, and votes from your team and from customers you flag as key accounts count 1.5x.
Daily Next Steps goes further. It ranks requests by a blend where account value (ARR) is the largest single input, alongside blocked deals, votes, how many companies asked, recency, sentiment, and renewals inside 60 days. It ships on the Startup and Scale plans; Growth does not include it.
Linear issue creation, a public changelog and status emails to voters are included. Where Feedjolt fits: a B2B SaaS team that wants feedback costs fixed and key accounts weighted in prioritization. Where it doesn't: a team that needs a genuinely free tier today, or wants Intercom or Jira integrations, which are listed as coming soon and are not live yet.

Where this comparison is unfair to competitors
You should know where our own framing bends. Against Canny, it is unfair in two ways: we put our flat top-tier price next to Canny's entry paid price, and we treat Canny's 25-tracked-user free plan as a footnote when, for a small team, free beats every price on this page. Against Featurebase, we quote its list prices without its startup program math, even though an 86% discount makes Featurebase cheaper than us for most qualifying startups. And across the board, comparing "our billing model" against "their billing model" flatters whoever writes the table: run your own headcount and voter numbers through both calculators before you decide.
What about free alternatives to Frill?
One honesty note first: we only print prices we verified against a live pricing page on 26 October, and Frill was not in that check, so you won't find its numbers here. On the free question itself: if "free" is the requirement, Canny's 25-tracked-user plan is the strongest free tier in this comparison, and Featurebase's single-seat plan works for a solo founder. Feedjolt has no free plan and we won't dress that up.
If you need a changelog, not a feedback board
A voting board is overkill if all you want is to publish release notes. Our changelog software page covers what a public changelog should close the loop on.

FAQ
Is there a free alternative to Canny? Canny itself has a free plan (25 tracked users). Featurebase has a free single-seat plan. Feedjolt does not have a free plan; its cheapest tier is $9/month by application.
Is Feedjolt cheaper than Canny? Usually, yes, at team scale: Feedjolt's top tier is $39/month flat, while Canny's paid plans start at $79/month and rise with tracked users. At very small tracked-user counts, Canny's free plan is cheaper.
Do all these tools deduplicate feedback automatically? Canny's Autopilot does, on all plans. Feedjolt does semantic dedupe with a confidence bar. Featurebase meters AI at $0.49 per resolution. Dedupe alone should not decide your choice.
