Triage

Your daily Feedjolt triage routine: read the inbox, tag posts, set statuses, and merge duplicates. Includes bulk actions, filters, saved views, and backlog tips.

The inbox is at Dashboard -> [board] -> Posts, sorted by newest by default. Triage moves new posts out of the default status into something useful.

A 10-minute routine

  1. Open the board sorted by "Newest".
  2. For each new post:
    • Read it. Decide if you understand the request. If not, leave a comment asking for clarification.
    • Tag it (bug, mobile, q3, etc.).
    • Search for duplicates by keyword. If you find one, merge.
    • Set a status - "Under review" if you're not sure, "Planned" if it's an obvious yes, "Won't fix" if it's a clear no (with a public comment explaining why).
  3. Triage zero: every new post has a status that isn't the default.

Bulk actions

Select multiple posts (checkbox in the list view) and:

  • Bulk tag - add a tag to all selected.
  • Bulk status change - same idea.
  • Bulk merge - merge all into one target.

Bulk actions are ADMIN/OWNER only.

Filtering

Above the list:

  • Status - show only "Under review" to focus on triage queue.
  • Tags - narrow by tag.
  • Author - find posts from a specific customer.
  • Date range - last week, last month, custom.
  • Has unread comments - when you've been away.

Filters are URL-shareable. Bookmark your "monday-triage-view" filter.

Saved searches

Frequent filter combos can be saved as views. Members can have personal views; ADMINs can pin shared views to the board sidebar.

Avoiding the spiral

Triage gets behind. When it does:

  • Mark the worst as "won't fix" with a kind public reply. It's better than letting them rot.
  • Bulk-tag old posts with archive-candidate and revisit in a month.
  • Increase board moderation if low-quality submissions are dominating. New posts go through draft -> approved.
  • Delegate. ADMINs can carry the load.
